SALEM COUNTY PURCHASING DIRECTOR SLATED FOR TOP SPOT
SALEM -- Salem County Purchasing Agent David Mulford, Jr, has been elected by his peers to chair the New Jersey Association of County Purchasing Officials (NJACPO). Salem County Freeholder Director David Sparks said, "Dave's long experience as a top sales executive in the private sector and now as State-certified purchasing agent for Salem County government will greatly benefit the Association."
Mr. Mulford has directed the Purchasing Department four years. He holds certifications from Rutgers University as Registered Public Purchasing Official and NJ Department of Community Affairs as Certified County Purchasing Official.
NJACPO is a statewide association composed of the purchasing directors from the twenty-one Counties. NJACPO works closely with various State agencies regarding pending legislation, cooperative purchasing systems, and State contract development. NJACPO provides liaison and advisory committees to the NJ Department of Community Affairs regarding procurement statutes.
